Product Introduction

Huapu Plate and Frame Filter Press is the core equipment for deep dehydration. It can reduce the moisture content of sludge to below 60% or even 50% in one step through high-pressure mechanical extrusion, achieving significant reduction and lowering costs for subsequent disposal.

Filtering and Pressing: Sludge is pumped into the filter chamber between the filter plates, and water is discharged through the filter cloth. Subsequently, by injecting high-pressure water or compressed air into the diaphragm filter plate, the filter plate is inflated, and the mud cake is subjected to secondary compression to forcefully squeeze out more moisture.

Automatic unloading: After the pressing is completed, the filter plate is pulled open, and the mud cake automatically falls off under the action of gravity, achieving fully automatic circulation.

Without relying on weight increasing additives such as lime, the moisture content can be easily reduced to below 60%, and some advanced models can even reach 55% or 50%, meeting incineration and landfill standards.

Adopting high-pressure diaphragm technology (recommended squeezing pressure above 1.4MPa), combined with an automatic plate pulling system, to achieve fully automatic operation, low labor intensity, and short batch processing cycle.

Selection suggestions and instructions


Filter press type


Municipal/organic sludge: It is essential to choose a diaphragm frame filter press with high-pressure hydraulic pressing, as this is the key to reducing the sludge to below 60%. Inorganic/easy to filter sludge: A conventional plate and frame filter press is sufficient.

For large areas (such as over 200 square meters), it is recommended to choose a screw pump or plunger pump, and use a two-stage feeding system of high and low pressure: first use a low-pressure pump to feed quickly, and then use a high-pressure pump to maintain pressure, which is efficient and energy-saving.


Filter cloth selection


Choose a ventilation range of 200-800 L/㎡· s, consult with Huapu engineers for specific information to ensure good permeability and mud discharge effect.


Matching conditioning pool/device


Intermittent process, the volume of the conditioning tank needs to be accurately matched with the amount of sludge in a single batch; Continuous process, using pipeline mixer to ensure that the residence and mixing time of the agent is ≥ 5 minutes.


Medication selection


Prohibition of adding lime/chloride ions: For incineration projects, iron salts and polymer conditioners can be selected. Pursuing fertilizer efficiency: Organic or lime free conditioners can be selected for composting projects. Standard is sufficient: Conventional deep dehydration can be achieved with iron salt and lime.


Maintenance Management


Daily operation>16 hours, it is recommended to automatically clean the filter cloth once a week; Avoid secondary feeding and pressing, otherwise the filter plate will be severely damaged.
